Novel mezzanine cards
to speed networking design
Adlink's new form factor Advanced Mezzanine Card (AMC) Series will support the new Intel IXP23XX product line of network processors
This modular design concept will reduce time to market for various market segments, including multiservice switches, xDSLAMs, VOIP gateways, edge routers, remote access, network security, and other mission critical applications. Adlink's AMC Series will provide an improved alternative to the conventional design-to-order service, offering versatile configurations to meet specific customer needs.

The Adlink AMC series will make use of the onboard encryption functionality of the Intel IXP23XX network processors for security requirements.
This feature will be of particular benefit to 3G, wireless access, and high speed broadband markets.
"Adlink views the Intel IXP23XX network processors as ideal processors for security and wireless applications", said Jeff Munch, Chief Technology Officer of Adlink and Chairman of the PICMG 3.0 Committee.
"The high level of integration, low power, and on-die encryption engine will allow us to bring products to market that exceed the performance of current network processor boards and require one-third the board space and power of current solutions".
"The Intel IXP23XX network processors are ideal for medium-line-rate applications", he added.
"With Intel IXP23XX network processors, companies can rapidly implement innovative services and applications", said Doug Davis, Vice President, Intel Communications Group and General Manager, Intel Infrastructure Processor Division.
"The Adlink AMC series supporting the Intel IXP23XX product line joins the Adlink family of Intel network processor-based communications platforms that offer flexibility and scalability to TEMs and service providers".
