Placement machines keep it clean
Two new placement machines with clean room capabilities reduce the chances of contaminating the target part with particulates
Whether you manufacture electronics, semiconductors, or life science products, contamination of your product during manufacturing is a concern. The placement of labels, filters, vents or other types of pressure sensitive adhesive components during assembly can be critical as both machine movement and adhesive can cause contamination.

Placement platform takes optics onboard
AccuPlace has come up with an automated solution for integrating glass lenses with antisplinter films into modern handheld electronic devices
Most of the common peel and place technologies on the market are not suitable for any clean room environments.
Now AccuPlace has added two new machines with clean room capabilities to reduce the chances of contaminating the target part with particulates.
The clean room configuration provides air valve exhaust ports that are connected together for porting to an outside vacuum system.
The pneumatic cylinders have vacuum collars around the shafts and the bearings are constructed from stainless steel.
On the new models RM1515 and RM2065, all aluminum parts are additionally nickel plated.
'All of our clean room solutions are a guarantee for increasing your throughput, placement accuracy and reducing scrap rate inside the clean room', says Rich Orstad, Market Segment Manager Computer and Peripherals at AccuPlace.
'Handling parts with tweezers and vacuum pens is not that reliable as the human factor is not predictable'.
'A standardised platform is predictable, more accurate and more reliable than human placement, and more cost efficient than customised solutions'.
'Various big players in the hard drive industry and in the manufacture of computer peripherals rely on us for these solutions'.
