Abacus Polar is hosting two DSP seminars with Texas Instruments.

Abacus Polar is hosting two DSP seminars with Texas Instruments to provide systems designers and engineering managers with an applications-focused, technical review of practical, real-time design advantages.

Roger Monk and David Abensur, DSP Application Engineers at Texas Instruments, will offer instruction, live demonstrations and Q and A to address signal-processing requirements.

The seminar will take place at Abacus Head Office in Newbury on 1st June 2004 and again at Old Trafford Stadium in Manchester on 2nd June 2004.

Aimed at staff implementing real-time signal processing in video imaging applications across the performance and portability spectrum, the morning session covers an introduction to real time systems for digital video.

Participants will be provided with an overview of available technology options and tradeoffs, and discover how to take advantage of new products and proven methods to make the system design process simpler and faster.

The afternoon session is dedicated to digital video.

Participants will be guided through the primary composition of a digital video system and will leave with the knowledge of common system components and the ability to identify key terminology, characteristics and architecture.

Tickets are available at a cost of GBP 50, which will be reimbursed in the form of a voucher against a DSP starter kit or a full DSP tools bundle.

Lunch is included within the price.
