Toshiba Corp has adopted the FineSim hybrid simulation analysis solution into its design flow

The hybrid FineSim tool suite will provide Toshiba designers in the System LSI Division and Memory Division with a comprehensive mixed level simulation and analysis solution. "The adoption of FineSim solution enables our IC designers to use the most efficient means of mixed level simulation analysis across all design sites", said Tamotsu Hiwatashi, Senior Manager of the planning group, System LSI design Department, Toshiba Corp.

Hiwatashi continued: "Our designers have to work in a very complex design environment, including both digital and analogue elements as well as soft and hard IP cores for full chip analysis.

And at different stages of the design, we've identified the need for highly accurate and high-performance simulation analysis capabilities at both the transistor and full chip levels.

We have found Acad's hybrid FineSim to be the best solution because it can handle all of our requirements with ease".

"We are pleased to provide our users with a world-class hybrid simulation analysis solution", said Andy Huang, President and CEO of Acad.

"Acad will continue to work with Toshiba, one of the world leaders in electronics and semiconductors, to deliver the next generation hybrid technology to meet Toshiba's complex deep-submicron requirements".
