We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "RISC processors", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Electronicstalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.
Start with the news release Decoders for use with Dolby Digital Plus equipment from Tensilica, which we summarised at the time by saying "A Dolby Digital Plus 7.1-channel decoder designed for HD DVD players and set-top boxes complements a Dolby Digital Plus 5.1-channel decoder/convertor used for backwards compatibility". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Microcontroller board intended for embedded work from Audon Electronics: "The EMBMEGA32 embedded microcontroller board is suitable for use as an embedded controller for industrial, automation, security and process control applications".
In February 2007, we covered the news from Spirit DSP concerning its Spirit Audio and Voice Engines - take a look at Audio and voice engines for ARM-based systems which says: "Spirit DSP's Spirit Audio and Voice Engines are now optimised for the ARM AudioDE platform and support all ARM RISC processors available today".
Take a look also at the news release from TIVR Communications, Video decoder is easily portable, as well as MP3 codec makes the most of ARM resources from Spirit DSP, and VME carriers put top power SoC to work from Micro Memory.
