We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Handheld computing", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Electronicstalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.
Start with the news release Programmable connectivity for embedded processors from QuickLogic, which we summarised at the time by saying "ArcticLink embeds high-performance controllers, a programmable fabric for implementing additional controllers and peripheral connectivity, and a selectable processor interface all in a single chip". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Charger and two convertors come together from Advanced Analogic Technologies: "Highly integrated device saves PCB space by combining a 1A battery charger with two 600mA step-down convertors in a small 4 x 4mm QFN package".
In January 2006, we covered the news from Microchip Technology concerning its MCP13XX voltage supervisors - take a look at Voltage supervisors add attractive features which says: "Ten new voltage supervisors operate at input voltages from 1.0 to 5.5V, consume very little power (5uA typical) and offer a wide range of trip points between 2.0 and 4.7V".
Take a look also at the news release from Summit Microelectronics, Reset controller offers flexible programming, as well as Wireless modems ordered from Mobitex Association, and Emerging leader in future analogue technology from Monolithic Power Systems (MPS).
