We see from your search that you're looking for information on the term "Embedded microprocessor", and we have a large number of manufacturers' news releases and technical articles here on Electronicstalk which will be of interest. Let me be your guide.

Start with the news release High-speed processor suits new handsets from STMicroelectronics, which we summarised at the time by saying "The STn8815 platforms for Symbian OS/S60, Linux, Windows Mobile and Windows Embedded CE include all the necessary software and middleware modules". A few weeks before, we featured the news release Suite boosts office automation from EEMBC: "The OABench 2.0 suite consists of five benchmarks, each with its own datasets, including entirely new Bezier and Ghostscript tests".

In October 2007, we covered the news from ARM concerning its Cortex-A9 - take a look at Cores execute up to four instructions per cycle which says: "The ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore multicore processor and ARM Cortex-A9 single core processor deliver unprecedented performance within tight power constraints".

Take a look also at the news release from Vast Systems Technology, Virtual processor speeds Freescale development, as well as Software supports Freescale's automotive drive from Green Hills Software, and EDA tool interoperability in focus from Synopsys.
